Summer 2024 Update

Summer of 2024 was filled with many firsts for our youth, as well as our organization as a whole. We launched our ABF Summer Program at Tufts University for our performance level kids, ran our first summer tennis programming at the Roxbury Boys & Girls Club, took our first trip as a group out to the International Tennis Hall of Fame, partnered with Battle of Boston to throw our first fundraising tournaments, and took five of our boys out to the USTA national campus in Orlando for their first ATA Nationals. Some of our boys were also apart of the Scholars Program at Longwood Cricket Club that allows youth from the city to have access to junior membership privileges throughout the summer. So, playing on the grass was definitely sprinkled in throughout a very packed season for the ABF kids. We were also able to identify four new perspective candidates to form the start of the next young ABF cohort. We are most excited that two of these boys were identified during our Boys & Girls Club clinics as potential performance track kids, who showed promise and passion to want to explore the sport more. The growth of A Bright Future is happening rapidly and we are diligently working on funding sources to continue to be able to impact more of the Boston and Greater Boston communities.
